FOUNDATION HISTORY

We started our ministry to children and teenagers in Russia in Saint- Petersburg in 1997. The district in which we started our activity is a district where many children and youth live. And here are very few organizations which work with children and of course very few to work with their parents. We understand that to be really able to  have a positive influence on children's lives we need to keep good relations with children's parents and schools, district administration, police and even local hospitals. When children don't get support from their family they go out to streets where they think they'll be accepted. But going to the street area is almost 100% "chance" to get an offer to try a drug and alcohol. The risk to become a part of a criminal band  also grows into many times. We understand that to deicide this situation we need to offer children an alternative  of "street" and help to make the relationship in families and at school better. That is how we got an idea to found  Daily care children's  center where children could spend all their spare time, where the parents could come to get support and where it is possible to make holidays and celebrations for the whole families.

In 1997 we started with teenager's club where we got together with teenagers and youth on weekends, discussed their problems, went in for sport and helped them in school studying. In 2000 we made the first kid's camp SPRING where 40 children from problem families came. Making kid's camps became a tradition since 2000 which we still keep. While our activity we understood that it can be really effective if it becomes a daily activity. We decided that it is necessary to found the Daily social children's center for everyday staying of children who have problems at their families and schools  but haven't lost a contact with the family members.  

In 2002 this decision became a reality: we opened social children's center SPRING where we now take children and realize the family support programs.

During 2002-2006 years our support got over 300 children and teenagers. Currently we continue to develop the basic programs and plan to take a higher  level to cover a bigger number of children in need. Getting all the aims is stopped by the luck of our own premise and consonant financial help.
